Scary Spiders....

So, 4 year old Ethan (who I photographed and blogged in previous posts), absolutely loves spiders. I put together this triptych for him of different spiders I have found in the yard. Icky. I'm glad it's done and I hope he likes it!

Photographing a Photographer!

I got to help Cheryl photograph a wedding in August and now she asked me to do some headshots of her to update her website/blog. She is an amazing photographer and I am so glad we have been able to work together. You can check out her site at www.inaframe.com. These are a few of my favorite from her session. Thanks so much Cheryl. I look forward to shooting with you again!!

This image I think is so beautiful. Wow...What a look.

Uncle's pretty pretty bandaid.....

Tonight I did a headshot of my uncle under his shop light to match the one I did of my aunt (in one of the previous posts). They have a side by side frame that they are going to put these images in.

For being such a good sport, I brought along a hello kitty bandaid that he got to wear for a couple shots. Looks like he enjoyed it!! Click directly on the image to see it larger.

August Wedding

I had the opportunity to help shoot a wedding with Cheryl Jones (In-a-frame Photography) in August. I am just getting around to post a few of the images. It was a beautiful wedding in Seattle with a reception following at the Woodmark hotel in Kirkland. What a beautiful day!

Christensen Family

So now that I have been living with my aunt and uncle for a few months, it's probably about time we did some family pics. We photographed right at their house and here are some images that are edited. There will be more posted later, and some put up in my galleries.

(More of my aunt and uncle to come........)

The whole family...... The big rock is in the back yard. Will be doing some sort of artsy effect to this image so they can get it printed in a 40x40 canvas to hang in their home.

I think this image is so beautiful!!

One more....

Here is one more I wanted to add of the girls together. Thanks so much girls for coming to me for your senior pics! It was so much fun!! Enjoy your last year of highschool!!

2009 Senior Stephanie

Stephanie and I went to Kirkland with my previous senior Rachel and we did their outdoor sessions. Then, today Stephanie came into the studio and we did a few more. Here are some that I have edited. Her session will also be posted in a feature gallery on my website in a couple of days, so be sure to check back!!

She had a very cute dress today and we have a bunch of fun shots of her swinging her dress back and forth. Cute images for a possible storyboard....She is such a smiley girl. It was definitely work for her to get her "serious face" on, but she did it!

Labor Day Labors of Love.....

The lighting on the next two shots was very severe. We shot at night with only the outside light on the garage for use. It was very windy and cold. I was elevated with the subject standing directly under the light fixture.

In this shot the subject was leaning against the building with the wind blowing her hair off her face. I think there was more elevation in this shot. I was trying for shadowing on the right side of her face, while leaving a triangle of light under her eye. This dramatic style draws your eye directly into the subjects eye. (By the way, the subject is my aunt....I hope that I look that good 20 years from now!!) Rawwwrrrrr......

The next two shots are of Hunter and Zoe's Family. The site was beautiful as you can see. The lighting was perfect. This family is very photogenic. Look at Kris' (moms) eyes, you can see her joy and personality.

Look at this picture with Kris and her kids. You can clearly see the joy, happiness and comedic acceptance in Kris' eyes. She brings this to all her friends and family, especially her babies. Some shots are easy, the lighting, setting and subjects couldn't be better. I wish they were all like this.
